Are you interested in supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties?

We are currently looking to recruit a counsellor/play therapist/creative arts therapist who can bring enthusiasm, passion and experience to our school.

Rowhill School supports pupils with behaviour and learning needs. Approximately two thirds of pupils are of secondary school age; all pupils have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) with their primary need being social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). A significant number of pupils also have additional needs associated with, for instance, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication and interaction, or speech and language needs. Many students will have experienced adverse childhood experiences.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified therapist to join and work alongside our specialist therapeutic team, consisting of a full-time systemic practitioner, with part-time occupational therapist, speech and language therapist, and therapy assistants. The post holder will be proactive and adaptable and be able to use their own initiative.

2 days per week Temporary to 31st August 2023

Please submit the job application responding to the Job Specification, detailing a personal statement, professional qualifications and employment history that meets the requirements of the role. Interviews will be held early Feb 2023.

For questions, please contact: Helen Thomas, therapeutic lead helent@rowhill.kent.sch.uk or 01474 705377
