The Beehive (Wrap Around Care) Supervisor

Our wrap around care facility, The Beehive, requires a committed supervisor to work in their After School Club and their Holiday Club (school half terms, summer and Easter breaks).

Applicants will need a level 3 child related qualification and relevant child care experience.  Previous experience of working with children with additional needs would be beneficial and be confident to run the club in the absence of the manager.  The post is permanent but on a casual relief basis where you will accrue holiday pay for the hours you work.  We guarantee 9hrs per week minimum.

Hours and days are flexible, within the following times:-

  • After School Club between 3pm and 6pm (term time only)
  • Holiday Club between 8am and 5.30pm (during school holidays)

All hours to be agreed beforehand and with the Manager.

The salary is equivalent to £20,493 full time equivalent, which is £10.62 per hour.

Our Beehive club is very popular with our parents and the wider community and often oversubscribed.  A good sense of humour and team work are essential.

Start date is immediate and we reserve the right to interview early and before the cut off date.

Please call 01892 520114 to arrange an informal visit and talk with our Beehive Manager, Claire Richardson.  She will be more than happy to give you a tour and chat about the job role in more detail.  Alternatively, email Claire on beehive@bishops-down.kent.sch.uk

Our school and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the childlen.  This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application with the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Information about the school

Bishops Down Primary and Nursery School is an inclusive, non-denominational school working in partnership with the Tunbridge Wells Primary Schools Collaborative Trust. The school was built in 1967 and is situated on the western edge of Tunbridge Wells in a leafy and pleasant residential area.

The school site is beautiful, elevated and fringed with green playing fields and woods. A fragrant quiet garden, pond and wooden structures in the grounds offer opportunities for happy playtimes.

We have just under 230 pupils in the primary and nursery classes. We also have a designation for children with physical disabilities and complex medical needs who are all included in mainstream.

We run Wrap Around Care at the beginning of the day and after school for our school and nursery children and during the holidays we run a Holiday Club for all children in the community.
