Are you an Early Years Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge?

We are looking for a pro-active and dedicated individual to join our Early Years team. We wish to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant, (term time only), to provide 30.42 hours support each week within a class setting. A working knowledge of the best early years practice and the ability to inspire and support both children and adults is a key requirement. A proven track record of using the appropriate IT systems to support learning and work with the parents would be an advantage. We are also looking for someone who is proactive and prepared to contribute to whole school improvement as part of the staff team. 

The role varies and may include working 1:1, working with groups, (both within and outside the classroom) and delivering small group interventions. You will need to have a high level of literacy and numeracy and experience of improving outcomes for pupils both academically and emotionally. We are looking for people who are determined to secure the absolute best for each pupil and will work hard to ensure every child achieves everything they are capable of.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an outstanding, creative, enthusiastic practitioner who will bring their own style and skills to support the excellent work delivered throughout the school.
  • Have the skills, experience and knowledge to work with pupils in KS1 and KS2.
  • Have an NVQ CACHE Level 3 for Teaching Assistants.
  • Have a good understanding of current educational initiatives.
  • Be a caring, understanding person with a sense of humour, who loves working with children and who is committed to supporting high standards and enjoyment of learning.
  • Have a good understanding of, and a desire to effectively support, children with additional needs.
  • Have the ability to work in a close team to achieve the best for our children and school community.
  • Have a desire to be involved in all aspects of school life.
