Bourne Alliance Multi Academy Trust is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Family Liaison Officer (FLO) to work at Grove Park Primary School.

Bourne Alliance MAT consists of 4 schools: Bobbing Village School, Iwade Primary, Grove Park Primary and the Aspire special school all based in Sittingbourne, Kent.

Grove Park Primary is a sought after school in the local area with a team that is hard working, determined to put children’s education and wellbeing at the heart of what they do.

This role is for 28 hours per week across four days and 38 weeks per year plus 2 days. Annual salary for this post is Kent Range 5 pro rata salary £13,257 ( full time equivalent £20,595).

FLO that will join our team will be an empathic individual, with a great deal of resilience and attention to detail. They will be committed in achieving the best outcomes for the children at Grove Park Primary and families in the local community, and proactively liaise with the outside agencies.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in working with children and families;
  • Will be commitment to the highest standards of child protection and safeguarding;
  • Will have good communication skills and understand the importance of confidentiality and data protection;
  • Will be able to independently manage their time and workload. Coordinate meetings with parents and other stakeholders;
  • Can proactively liaise and collaborate with SLT, teaching staff, parents and outside agencies;
  • Will be patient, polite and considerate when working with families and staff.
