We have an incredible opportunity for an ambitious and driven person to join our team as our EYFS leader. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to challenge themselves and develop their career.

We are seeking a knowledgeable and effective Early Years practitioner to teach one of our two Reception classes and to lead the development of our EYFS provision as a whole. We are looking for someone with a strong vision for EYFS, and an inclusive ethos to match the rest of the school. You will be able to demonstrate how you have incorporated strong EYFS practice to achieve excellent outcomes for children in your current/previous roles.

You may be an existing EYFS lead looking to further your career, or you may feel that now is the right time for you to step up into this key leadership position. What matters is that you have the necessary ethos, vision and values to make an exceptional contribution to the school, and the excellent classroom practice to back this up.

The successful candidate will:

  • be an excellent teacher who has a good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
  • have good organisation skills and be methodical.
  • be able to quickly form effective working relationships with the rest of the team.
  • have high expectations of themselves and of all children.
  • be a team player who can work with and support all members of our school community.
  • have good communication skills and recognise the importance of partnerships with parents and carers.

We believe wholeheartedly in professional development and encourage our staff to aspire to great things, and to grasp all opportunities offered. At Ellington you will be supported to develop your career in whichever direction you wish to go.

For more information about the school, you may wish to read our recent Ofsted report, which we feel gives an accurate account of what it is like to be a part of Ellington.

We would be willing to consider this position on a part time basis (4 days per week) for the right candidate.
