Teaching Assistant

 We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring person to join our teaching team.

We ideally need an experienced Teaching Assistant with, commitment, energy and drive to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with staff to provide positive learning experiences for all our pupils to support all learners to achieve their full potential.

The post is for mornings only Monday – Friday during term time 8.30am to 12.30pm    - 20 hours per week).

We expect the successful candidate to:

  • Be able to support the delivery of high quality learning experiences for all pupils
  • Have high expectations of learning and behaviour
  • Be enthusiastic and inspire our children;
  • Be supportive, nurturing and understanding with a calm manner
  • Demonstrate good communication skills both orally and written
  • Work well as part of a team

The role also includes providing pupil supervision cover for some break and lunch duties.

Information about the school

We are a small village church school, at the heart of our community, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have 80 pupils taught in four classes: Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6.

The school plays a very active role in the local and wider community and provides many opportunities for children to develop their talents and interests, whether this be in the sporting competitions we take part in or in our wide range of extra-curricular clubs.

Our staff team is small, friendly and mutually supportive, which we believe is a real strength of our school. Our Christian values are important to us and are at the heart of all we strive to achieve. We encourage all members of the school community to walk in the shoes of others; - demonstrating our understanding of the needs of others as well as promoting kindness at every opportunity.
