· Deliver high quality learning support to enable accelerated progress across the Key Stage 1 and 2 curriculum

· Be organised, flexible and willing to use your initiative in order to meet children’s needs

· Have a positive outlook, with a good sense of humour and high expectations of our children.

A willingness to work additional paid hours as an After School Club Assistant for one/two afternoons a week, and as a Breakfast Club Assistant in our small, friendly ‘wrap around care’ provision will be an advantage.

We are looking for candidates who can support the positive caring ethos of our school and who have the qualifications, experience and willingness to form and sustain positive relationships with children and staff, and be flexible in their approach to meet our children’s needs.

Candidates should have the minimum qualifications of 5 GCSEs with a good pass including English and Maths, and/ or NVQ Level 3 or above. Candidates must have experience of supporting children in a primary school setting.

Please make sure that your application reflects the full range of skills and experience which you would bring to the post, which would make you the ideal candidate.

As a school we will offer you:

· A supportive staff team in our small school community

· A positive and friendly staff team who work together effectively to meet the needs of our children.

· A learning community which values ideas, initiative, positivity and creativity

· Full training to support the learning needs of the pupils

· Well behaved children who love to learn!

· Opportunities for professional development consistent with your own aims and the needs of the child you will be supporting

The hours will be 8.45 to 3.15, Monday to Friday, term time only. However, we can consider flexible start and end times for the right candidate if needed. The post is temporary for the academic year until 31st August 2023 in the first instance.
