Pastoral Support Worker

(temporary post until 31/08/2023)


Start Date:      As soon as possible

Salary:            Kent Range 4, Term time plus staff training days 

Hours :           35 hours per week, 8.30 – 3.30pm 


Borden is seeking to appoint a Pastoral Support Worker to support Heads of Year in investigating and following up on pastoral incidents, and to support students with reintegration and restoration.  A person who has the ability to build relationships with difficult students and to apply behaviour management policies and strategies which contribute to a purposeful learning environment, and also develop a sense of community which reflects the school’s values.

Must have the ability to work calmly under pressure and to adapt quickly and effectively to changing situations.

The post is Term Time only, 35 hours per week, 8.30am - 3.30pm plus 5 Staff Development days (39 weeks).

Salary: Kent Range 4, £19,389 – £20,493 (£15,527 - £16,411 pro-rata, 39 weeks).

School experience is preferred but not essential.
