We are looking to appoint a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in our Reception Class.

This role will involve working with a child with a diagnosis of Autism and developmental delay. You will be supporting the child 1:1 as they embark on their learning journey as well as managing their learning difficulties and personal care.

Weald Community Primary School is very supportive of its staff and would provide training and guidance where needed by the school's SENCO as well as external professionals.

It is desirable that the successful candidate has a child-centred approach with some experience of working with children with SEN together with a firm understanding of the Early Years Framework. They will be a team player and will want to make a difference by supporting the pupil so they can achieve their full potential. 

The contract is temporary, part-time (hours negotiable) and term time only, dependant on the availability of funding.
