Five Acre Wood School is looking to appoint a hardworking and highly motivated Apprentice ICT Technician to join their ICT Team. In the role you will learn ICT maintenance, including maintaining the school network, including laptop computers so that is it fully available to all staff and students.

We are looking for an Apprentice ICT Technician to work Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, all year round. Salary is a KR3 plus a Five Acre Wood Allowance.

Job Purpose:

You will have the opportunity to participate in a supportive environment to develop the behaviours, knowledge and professional skills required of the role and the team. You will commit to your professional development plan, set out at the beginning of your Apprenticeship.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Install and maintain computer hardware, laptops, audio/visual equipment and peripherals.
  • Maintain all staff and classroom workstations.
  • Administration and development of Internet, Office 365 and learning platforms.
  • To support staff and students with the set-up and preparation of ICT equipment around the school.

The successful candidate will be required to complete the Level 3 Information communications technician apprenticeship and as part of this will be provided with 20% off the job training per week. The expected duration of the course is 16 months.

The successful candidate will also have a strong commitment to inclusive principles and be committed to safeguarding children and young people.
