Advert

We are looking for a friendly, inspiring and highly motivated teacher to join our brilliant KS1 team on a permanent contract from Term 4, February 2023.  Applications are very welcome from qualified teachers with a strong experience of teaching across KS1, in particular year 2.  An in depth of knowledge of statutory assessments would be desirable.  A particular interest in Maths would be welcome, although other subject specialisms may be considered.  We will pay at the upper pay range for the relevant experience for this position.

We have a great team here at Godinton who work incredibly hard to bring out the very best in our children.  As a two form entry school, class teachers work with supportive year group partners to create exciting and inspiring lessons for the children and are well supported by Team Leaders.

You should be an enthusiastic and excellent practitioner with the knowledge and sills to support and challenge pupils of all abilities, including those with special educational needs and disabilities as well as the academically more able.  You will also have the passion to want to nurture and inspire our children, providing them with every opportunity to develop their full potential.  You will need to demonstrate consistent, high quality classroom practice and inspirational teaching, underpinned by an excellent understanding of the curriculum.

We are looking for someone that shares our ethos of growing and learning together, with the passion, creativity and energy to deliver stimulating lessons that are both engaging and challenging.

Our children are at the heart of everything we do and we strive to offer them an environment of opportunity and discovery through a rich and broad curriculum with as wide a range of activities as possible.

In return we can offer you a supportive and caring team of teachers, support staff and governors led by a strong and visionary team of school leaders, who also understand the importance of staff well-being and ensuring we also offer the right environment for our colleagues to thrive in.

The closing date for applications is Monday 28th November at 12:00 noon.

Visits to our school are positively encouraged.  For an informal chat and more information on visits please telephone Mrs Claire Williams on 01233 621616 or email clairewilliams@godinton.kent.sch.uk

Information about the school

Welcome to Godinton Primary School.

When you step inside our school, you will find an exciting environment of creativity and discovery, where children’s natural curiosity is stimulated and their capacity to learn is nurtured. We are very proud of our ethos, which provides a supportive, family atmosphere with an emphasis on ensuring that our children are happy and confident individuals who love coming to school.

At Godinton Primary School, our team works hard to provide every child with a well-rounded education, enabling them to reach their full potential and succeed wherever their strengths and skills may lie. We strive for academic excellence in our pupils but believe that this should be delivered alongside an enriching and creative curriculum.

We enjoy stand-alone Academy status and have been graded as GOOD by Ofsted at our last inspection (Feb 2024).

Tucked safely away on the Godinton Park Estate, its only when you step within the school gate that you can fully appreciate the school’s privileged outside space.

Our school grounds are both extensive and beautiful, stretching around the entire building and providing a wonderful natural backdrop. Children at Godinton benefit from vast playing fields, adventure play areas, two playgrounds and a thriving wildlife garden and environmental area. A broad area of woodland, also within the grounds, provides an inspiring space for curriculum enrichment, as a stimulus for poetry or creative writing or as the location for scientific nature trails.

We look forward to welcoming you to our school, where you can see for yourself what a special place Godinton Primary School is.

Miss Jill Talbot
