Job Summary:

Aylesford School is seeking to recruit an excellent Maths Teacher to join our innovative and highly collaborative Maths department.

The successful candidate must be committed, with the character, skills and drive necessary to inspire our students and the ability to deliver engaging lessons of the highest quality. There will be opportunities to teach at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.

Our school vision is to provide quality academic and 'Character Education' which develops confident young people who are successful learners and contribute positively to society.

Our school has been on a journey of rapid improvement which has been recognised by OFSTED under the new framework where we achieved a Good rating in all areas. We are a non-selective school in the heart of Kent with growing numbers of students each year. We are passionate about providing a world class education to our students and have a lot of support from parents, governors and the leadership structure in the school to be able to do this. Our staff team is a friendly and supportive one where creativity in the classroom and effective working relationships are key.

The Maths department are a great team doing a brilliant job. Students enjoy Maths lessons and our results have improved due to our strong curriculum and quality of teaching. We now need another teacher to build capacity in the team and maintain the high standards of teaching and learning which are already present in the department.

The position is suitable for a qualified and experienced teacher seeking to develop leadership competencies or a newly qualified teacher who is looking for opportunities to grow and flourish as a teacher. There might be an opportunity for a TLR – Teaching and Learning Responsibility in the future and we are also offering a Recruitment and Retention Allowance of £2000 to the successful candidate.

This is a full-time position, however flexible working hours will be considered.
