Chartham Primary school are looking for a new Assistant Headteacher, with specific focus on inclusion, to assist the new Headteacher in leading our wonderful school through the next stage of its development. This is a new and exciting opportunity to join a large primary school situated in a large village on the outskirts of Canterbury and to build upon the school’s current successes and strengths. 

Working with the senior leadership team, local Governing Body and Academy Trust Team, you will shape and deliver our vision and objectives for inclusion across the school delivering successful outcomes for all children.  

As an Assistant Head, the role will include supporting the Headteacher in the everyday running of the school, setting high expectations for pupils and staff developing and implementing our strategic plan in order to provide continued school improvement and success. Along with the other members of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for providing outstanding leadership, ensuring the safety of all pupils and staff, whilst providing all children with a well-rounded and enriching curriculum where learning is enjoyable, stimulating and exciting. 

This role may be suitable either for an inspirational SENco, or for an exceptional Middle Leader or Assistant Headteacher with some experience and passion in this area who is looking for an opportunity to build on previous successes. 

Visits to the school are welcome and encouraged where the Headteacher will happily discuss the role further and give candidates an invaluable insight into the school’s buildings and grounds and of course to meet our wonderful pupils and staff.
