Thistle Hill Academy are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking EYFS Teaching Assistant to support our youngest children in the reception classes alongside the Class Teacher.

We are looking for teaching assistants who:

  • Recognise that our current education system needs to radically change to better prepare our young people for the 21st century
  • Are able to take advantage of the latest technology to support modern, 21st century learning
  •  Want to develop their own practice to meet the needs of an evolving school system
  • Want to develop children as life-long, curious learners
  • Want to build strong relationships with children that facilitate their learning
  • Want to teach in enabling environments that promote flexibility, collaboration and independence

This role is:

  • 33.75 hours per week, 38 weeks per year + 5 weeks paid holiday
  • KR3 Pro-rata annual salary approximately £14,813
  • Please note: 30 hours are a standard, permanent role. 3.75 hours are temporary and attached to the EYFS position. These hours will reduce should you move to another year group as directed by the Headteacher.
