Advert

Required October/November 2022 –  Two Classroom Teaching Assistants to join the dedicated and talented team of staff at Trottiscliffe CE Primary School.

Are you a positive person who is enthusiastic and committed to helping children be the best people they can be? Are you a teaching assistant, who would relish the opportunity to develop their skills in a school which believes children are more than a set of data and who is committed to developing individuals to fulfil their potential, both for children and staff? Do you have the ability to be flexible in a range of situations and the desire to work with a small, supportive team? If so, we could be the school for you!

Due to some internal changes, we have some flexibility in the two positions we are currently advertising for.

One role is for 8:30am-3:30pm each day. These hours could be for one person or could be shared for the right candidates (e.g. one person do mornings, another do afternoons. Or the days could be shared)

One role is for 20 hrs per week, 8:30-12:30pm each day, term time only.  We could have some flexibility in these hours however.

Both roles will primarily involve working in class providing support to children under the direction of a teacher, providing 1:1 support when necessary or working with small groups of children to support their learning.  Any specific experience of supporting children would be advantageous however we welcome applications from anyone who believes they have the qualities to fulfil the role.  You need to be able to show initiative in addition to working well with colleagues, parents and professionals from other agencies.  It would also be an advantage to have NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualifications, or other relevant qualifications, and be willing to participate in further training when relevant to support the child’s needs.

We are a small school, tucked away in a beautiful village, although easily accessible by main roads, with a strong Anglican ethos based on key values of Respect, Wisdom, Hope and Community. Visits to the school are welcomed, however feel free to contact the school should you require further information ahead of your application.

Trottiscliffe CE Primary School is committed to the safeguarding and protection of children and so any appointment will be subject to all safeguarding checks and references.
