  • Take the leading role for Inclusion throughout the school
  • Have responsibility for behaviour across the school
  • Be an excellent role model for staff and pupils
  • Liaise effectively with parents, carers and external agencies and have an understanding  of current AEN procedures
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to support our staff with a 'hands-on' approach

Our commitment to you

You can expect:

  • 420 fantastic children each deserving an Assistant Headteacher that will willingly go that extra mile to ensure they succeed
  • A dedicated Senior Leadership with their own passion and expertise within inclusion
  • Focused Speech and Language provision already established in the school
  • A supportive school community - we have a great team
  • A team of SENCos - both Ramsgate Arts Primary and Upton Junior have excellent and supportive SENCos.
  • Supervision from one of our experienced Trustees
  • Support to complete SENCo qualification and NPQs.

This role is not class based but will carry some teaching responsibility in response to the needs of the school
