The position available:

As part of our covid catch up plan, we are seeking an individual, who is a good communicator and is able to teach English and Maths skills to small groups and individual upper junior children (aged 9-11yrs). The successful candidate, will undertake a remote training programme run by the Department for Education in effective teaching and catch – up strategies. This post would suit someone with previous tutoring experience, someone aspiring to work in a school in the future or a person who has had experience of working in a school in the past.

We are looking to appoint someone who is:

 

  • Educated to A level standard – having 3 at grades A-C or equivalent
  • Educated to Maths and English GCSE standard- having grade 4/C or above for both subjects
  • Dedicated and hard- working
  • Enthusiastic and able to motivate young people
  • Very well organised
  • Able to support children in a whole class situation under the direction of others and show initiative when working with small groups of children alone
  • Creative and positive
  • Able to pick up school policies and procedures quickly

Information about the school

All Saints Church of England Primary School is a very successful family school located at the heart of the diverse community of Chatham, Kent. The main school has 315 children on roll from Reception to Year 6 and the nursery has a capacity for 60 more.

The last Ofsted inspection graded the school “good” with outstanding features and our last Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) concurred by grading the school as "good" too.

In September 2015, with three other local Church schools, we formed Medway Anglican Schools Trust.
