We currently have 2 vacancies for 1:1 teaching assistants to come and be valued members of our team.

We are seeking to appoint 2 effective, caring and enthusiastic people to join our growing school. Those appointed will be working within a classroom team including a teacher and at least 1 other teaching assistant. These roles are to work 1:1 with children who have some complex needs, which at times may include displaying some behaviour that challenges.

1 post is for 21.25 hours per week (5 days per week during term time).

1 post is for 30 hours per week (5 days per week during term time).

Successful candidates will:

  • show positive skills in supporting emotional well-being - experience of working with children with sensory processing needs and ASD would be beneficial.
  • have confidence in dealing with behaviour that may be challenging.
  • be able to engage with young children and develop positive relationships quickly.
  • be reliable, patient and understanding while also knowing how to have fun!
  • ideally have experience in supporting children’s learning, modifying or adapting activities to enable accelerated progress.
  • have high expectations for children’s behaviour.
  • be used to working closely with the Class Teacher, SENCO and external professionals.
  • have an understanding of school safeguarding and policies and the need for confidentiality.
  • be adaptable, cheerful and willing to work as part of a team.
  • be willing to undertake additional training if needed.
