Are you passionate and enthusiastic about teaching in the Early Years and Year One?

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Sundridge and Brasted CEP School for an Early Years/Year One Teacher in a class of 15 delightful children.

With high expectations of all learners, you will have a thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and ideally you would know how to blend the requirements of the EYFS with those of the Year One curriculum. We are looking for someone who has a commitment to child-centred creative learning and who fully understands the importance of learning through play but is able to prepare the children for their journey into Key Stage 1.

We can offer you pupils who are keen and ready to learn, a vibrant community in the heart of Sundridge and a school where staff voice is highly valued.

We warmly welcome visits to the school in order for you to gain a true insight in to life at Sundridge and Brasted. Arrangements for visits can be made through the school office (01959) 562694. We look forward to meeting you!

This is a full-time post commencing in January 2023. The post is open to an ECT or experienced teacher. Main Pay Scale or Upper Pay Scale teachers are warmly encouraged to apply.

We are a small Church of England School situated in the village of Sundridge, with approximately 60 children on roll, set in a beautiful part of Kent. We have a strong family Christian ethos and value our close links with our parents, the wider community and local churches.

The school site is small but we have wonderful support from the community which allows us to go off site for PE lessons and Forest School throughout the year to fantastic site within close proximity to the school. We provide a wide range of pastoral support for our children and families in order to ensure that every child has the opportunity to fully experience school both inside and outside the classroom.

As of September 2022, Sundridge & Brasted CE Primary School has become part of the Darent Federation of Primary Schools. We work closely with other local schools and the Local Authority to ensure that we have the best practices in place to benefit our children and staff. We are also supported by a strong governing body.
