An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and efficient Office Manager (including the role of Attendance Officer), who has experience of office management in a primary school setting, to join our friendly and supportive team.

The successful candidate will:

 

  • be well educated, with a minimum of GCSEs in English and mathematics (grade C or above). Higher level qualifications are desirable.
  • be fully competent in the use of IT packages, with experience of using Microsoft Office, Excel and management information systems.
  • be an excellent team player -working with our Office Administrator to carry out a range of administration duties involved in the smooth running of the school
  • be positive, self-motivated and be able to work using their own initiative
  • have excellent interpersonal and English skills
  • be able to prioritise workload and keep calm under pressure while providing a high quality service for pupils, parents, staff and visitors
  • be discreet and have the highest regard for confidentiality
  • be friendly, approachable, flexible and adaptable

The role is varied and interesting and includes: managing the administration for attendance, general administration, being the first point of call for visitors to the school office, managing queries, maintaining the asset register, line managing the Office Administrator, Midday Supervisors (MDS), cleaners and organising cover for non-teaching support staff and reporting assessment data.

Hours (32 hours per week): Monday to Thursday 8.30am-5.00pm (including half an hour unpaid lunch break). This is a 38 week per year contract (term time only).
