Assistant Head Teacher: Mental Health and Well Being

This is a full-time senior management position with the principal responsibility for:

  1. Leading one of the oldest and most successful Specialist Resourced Provisions in the county for students with autism.
  2. Line managing the work of the SEN Department
  3. Developing and leading a whole school well-being strategy and overseeing the work of the well-being team including leading weekly mental health triage meetings incorporating the work of the school's pastoral staff.

The successful candidate is likely to have:

a. Qualified teacher status

b. Post -graduate qualification in autism

c. SENCO qualification

d. Safeguarding accreditation

e. Training in well-being and mental health support
