Job role: Trust Finance Assistant

Salary: FMAT Band C1 - £19,343.00

Contract Status: Permanent

Contract Start Date: October 2022

Hours: 37 hours per week

Monday – Thursday: 8.00am – 4.30pm, Friday: 8.00am – 4.00pm (1-hour unpaid lunchbreak on all days)

Fulston Manor Academies Trust (FMAT) is looking to recruit an experienced Trust Finance Assistant to work within the Trust Business Team providing effective financial and administrative service to all schools across the Trust.

The role sits within the finance part of the Trust Business Team which provide finance, Human Recourse, Payroll & Pension, Facilities, and Catering services to all schools in the Trust. The workload is demanding and we are looking for a team player who can contribute positively to the team.

Previous experience of working as a finance assistant, preferably in an education setting, with a good working knowledge of PS Financials is preferred; however, training can be provided. Excellent IT skills, including Office 365, are essential for this role.

The successful candidate must have a high standard of general education (ideally to A Level or equivalent) but must include English (written and spoken) and Maths GCSE or equivalent.

Candidates will be able to demonstrate that they are adaptable and flexible with a proactive attitude. The ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team to complete tasks conscientiously and to a high standard is essential. The postholder will be expected to work in a sensitive and diplomatic manner, having regard for the confidential nature of their work.
