We are seeking to appoint a friendly and welcoming Office Administrator to join our supportive staff team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for helping the Office Manager to support the smooth running of the school. The role will involve a range of administrative functions and training can be offered to the right candidate. Please see the Job Description for more information.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a hard-working, efficient and pro-active team member
  • Have effective interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive working relationships will staff, parents, children and visitors
  • Have excellent organisation skills and ability to manage own time
  • Have good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Have understanding of the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding
  • Be willing to uphold the school’s Christian Vision and Values
  • Be willing to lead and administer First Aid (training will be provided)
  • Some school administrative experience and knowledge of Bromcom would be advantageous.

31.5 hours per week, 8.30 a.m. to 2.45 p.m., term time only.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS and be subject to qualification, reference and health checks.

Kennington CE Academy is 3 form entry (12 classes) for Key stage 2 of 360 pupils, situated in North Ashford and serving a mixed community of children who are enthusiastic about learning and their school.

We have strong relationships with our feeder Infant school, Downs View and The Towers, our nearest high school. Our church school status has led us to develop close links with the local parish church. We are sponsored by Aquila, the Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust (www.aquilatrust.co.uk)
