ART/DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN

Medway NJC scale D2 point 4 - 11 (£18,933 to £21,748 pro rata to £13,759 - £15,805)

30 hours per week, 41 weeks per year (Term time plus 3 weeks). Hours 8.30am to 3.00pm

We are seeking to appoint an Art/Design and Technology Technician to join a busy and successful department.  You will be an organised individual with the ability to work under pressure with conflicting deadlines and be able to demonstrate a high level of preparation materials/work to support teaching staff in the department.  Working as a team and contributing to ensuring a calm environment, and being able to relate to students would be an advantage.  Working hours can be negotiated for the right candidate.


The successful applicant will be flexible in approach and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Applicants should have a qualification in Art or an appropriate workshop subject.  Ideally, the successful applicant should have experience of working in an Art space, workshop or similar environment.  We would be open to candidates with an Art background, as well as practising artists.  Full training will be provided to the successful candidate and they must be prepared to undertake First Aid Training.
