Do you want to help young people learn and develop? Do you have a passion for education and improving the lives of Primary school children?

We are in need of a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant, with a preferred Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or working towards this qualification) to work in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 providing learning support both within the classroom and for small groups of children.

This role will also involve working across the whole school to provide lunchtime supervision.

Other aspects of the role will entail daily interaction with pupils and the class teacher, following lesson plans and preparing the learning environment.  You would be expected to use your own initiative to support the teaching staff.

You will need:

  • excellent verbal communication skills for motivating children to learn
  • active listening skills to understand the children's needs

  • to be flexible and open to change in order to work on different activities
  • to enjoy working with other people
  • the ability to teach pupils new skills
  • the ability to create the best conditions for learning and teaching to take place
  • to be computer literate
  • willingness to actively promote our Christian ethos
