We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our fabulous team at Painters Ash Primary School.  This is a term time only position for 30 hours per week, 5 days a week.  FTE salary £19293.00 per annum,  actual salary approx £13,500.00 per annum.

Purpose of the Job:

To make a real difference to children's learning and progress by supporting class teaching, assisting in providing a learning environment that enables all children to learn to the best of their ability, to support all children's well-being and to lead intervention groups.

The ideal Candidate will:

  • have high expectations for all children
  • give children's social development and well-being the highest priority and recognise and value both academic and personal qualitites of children
  • have experience of working with children
  • be motivated and contribute to the ethos of our friendly school
  • be a good team player with good interpersonal skills
  • have good numeracy and literacy skills
  • be able to work with teachers and work independently to support children.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • support invididuals and groups in whole class activities, helping all children to achieve their best
  • establish supportive, caring and secure relationships with children, promoting respect, self-esteem and a positive, inclusive whole school ethos
  • lead intervention groups in order to support learning or any emotional, social or behavioural needs of any children
  • provide effective feedback to children and teachers including appropriate marking and record keeping to support the learning process
