We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person to support the work of our SENCo and provide a vital link between home and school. Someone who is positive and keen to make a real difference to children's learning and well-being; providing support to pupils and/or their parents to help resolve difficulties at an early stage.

We are also looking for someone with good administrative skills- who is able to work with a range of colleagues and outside agencies to organise and plan for the variety of meetings and information that we require to support our pupils with SEN.

The successful candidate will be part of an excellent and talented team; working under the direction of the SENCo and will also benefit from being part of our friendly and happy school. We look forward to welcoming you.

Working hours will be 3 days (19.5 hours) per week, term time only 08.30 – 16.00

Information about the school

Sandwich Junior is a two form entry school, who currently have 222 pupils on roll. We are fortunate to have extensive grounds, which include two large playgrounds, a gardening area, outdoor music equipment, an Orchard and a full size Labyrinth to aid mindfulness and reflection. The school has a strong set of Core Values which underpin everything we do. Our location in the centre of Sandwich, Kent means we serve families from the town and the wider area. We received an Outstanding grading in our most recent Ofsted inspection (May 2022). We have a friendly, dedicated staff who work seamlessly together as a team, ensuring every child reaches their own personal excellence through a focus on quality first teaching and pastoral support.
