This is an exciting opportunity to join an established nurture-based SEN school in Cranbrook which has recently been judged as Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted.

We are looking for an inspirational and nurturing Teacher with a passion for SEN and a creative, innovative approach to delivering the curriculum, to join us and make an impact on the learning of our pupils. We are looking for candidates with the motivation and determination to ensure that students make progress and also to improve and boost their independence as they transition into adulthood. The ideal candidate would be experienced KS3/ KS4 SEN teacher. This class group is made up of pupils aged 11-19.

Belle Vue School educates young people between the ages of 11 - 19 who have a wide range of diagnosis including ASD, ADHD and social, emotional and mental health needs. Ideal candidates would follow pathways consisting of AQA Unit Awards, Entry Level & Functional Skills. You will be supported in your role by experienced special education leaders who will be available to offer advice and guidance as the school moves forward under their leadership. Effective CPD training and development are available through opportunities for professional development.

Information about the school

Belle Vue School in Cranbrook is a smaller than average-sized special school which operate a nurture-based ethos and is registered to admit 60 pupils. The school serves pupils aged 11-19, who have a range of primary diagnosis including autism, social, emotional and mental health difficulties and cognition and learning difficulties. Our pupils are wonderfully individual, each one with strengths and areas for improvement. Our school is a calm, quiet and orderly setting where pupils can be supported to develop academically and emotionally.

Ofsted inspected the school in April 2022 and judged us to be Outstanding in all areas.

Our vision is that every child should go to an inspiring and life changing school, have the best teaching and benefit from all services working in partnership with each other to ensure their future life chances are improved.
