At Temple Hill Primary Academy we call Teaching Assistants ‘Associate Teachers’ because we recognise your importance; you are more than an assistant, you are a teacher too- never under estimate how an AT can change a child’s life.

What can we offer?

  • Supportive and inclusive team- your voice is valuable and will be heard

We have 900 pupils from Nursery to Year 6 with a Specialist Resource Provision for children with Speech & Language needs (SLCN). We offer a short-term Nurture placement for children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. 29% of children have special needs and 40% of children receive Pupil Premium funding. We pride ourselves on the high-quality provision we offer to all children especially those in vulnerable groups.

From a Good Ofsted in June 2019, we are now striving to achieve Outstanding. We have a dedicated supportive work force and every single staff member is valued at our school. We offer opportunities for growth within school and the wider Trust.

We are part of the Galaxy Trust and we work closely with the other schools in the Trust -Fleetdown Primary Academy, Oakfield Primary Academy and West Hill Primary Academy. With approx. 2800 pupils across the four schools there are a number of opportunities for developing the best provision within the area. The Trust values are Respect, Responsibility, Equality and this drives the ethos of all four schools where you can see these values permeate throughout the school communities.

We are the school to work at because we are unique. Children come first whatever their background or their differing needs. We value our staff, we care, we understand. We will support and encourage you to be the best version of yourself. #WeAreTempleHill

Early applications are encouraged and we reserve the right to close the vacancy if a suitable candidate is found. Only shortlisted candidates will be contracted.
