We are seeking to appoint a hardworking and friendly Teaching Assistant  (Key Worker) to support the needs of a child and group of children with the EYFS classroom.

This is a term time only contract and is a currently a temporary role linked to High Needs Funding, the budget/needs of the school and the particular needs of key child.

Hours of work are 9am – 3pm (Mon-Fri) including lunchtime supervision for 1 hour per day, with a 30min lunch. The salary is Kent Range 3, £18,425 FTE, and based on 27.5 hours per week, term time only, this would be pro-rated to £11,476.88 p/a

Previous experience of working with children, working within EYFS or working with speech and language is highly desirable.

The role will include offering additional learning support across the whole EYFS class, but is linked to the particular needs of the key child, which will include but not limited to feeding the child and supporting their medical and academic needs. You will need to have a high level of literacy and numeracy and experience of improving outcomes for pupils both academically and emotionally. We require organised professionals who have:
• Good interpersonal skills and an ability to remain calm and patient even when under pressure.
• Good standards of English and Maths.
• The ability to liaise with staff, parents and professionals offering support and challenge as appropriate.
• The ability to work using your own initiative at a highly professional level.
• A secure knowledge and understanding of safeguarding.
• A thorough understanding of differing needs and vulnerability of children.
• You will have experience or a passion in enabling high quality inclusive provision.

You will be skilled in delivering a range of interventions and in working alongside parents and professionals.
