Advert

New House Nursery is looking for a part time support teacher to work with a hearing impaired child who has a severe hearing loss from September 2022.  The successful applicant will have had experience of working with hearing impaired learners, preferably in early years, and will hold at least a British Sign Language Level 1 qualification.  The child to be supported is a delightful little boy who loves his time at Nursery and has made good progress so far within the setting; he is an eager communicator who uses both words and and signs but recent assessments have identified that his recptive language needs support by use of Sign Supported English in order to further increase his communication.

This post is specifically for Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8.30am to 4.30pm and Fridays from 9am to 12pm.

Information about the school

New House is an informal Private Nursery School for two to five year olds situated in the idyllic rural location of New House Lane and operates with the very strong ethos that every game and aspect of play is an important and valuable learning experience for the pre-school child. All of the rooms have a calm, relaxed and happy atmosphere in which all of the children are offered a variety of activities encouraging them to interact and participate, but most importantly tailor made for individual abilities enabling each child to work at their own pace. This in turn increases the child’s confidence and levels of well being giving them the opportunity to become totally independent within the Nursery environment demonstrating high levels of involvement. New House not only offers excellent premises in which to house the children and cater for their individual needs, but boasts a wonderfully spacious and well equipped garden to support our strong ethos on outdoor play; the garden is used during both the morning and afternoon sessions all year round and the children are able to develop their gross motor skills and experience the wealth of nature that surrounds them first hand with total safety. On leaving us, our children should be prepared for school with an enquiring mind and enough confidence to undertake various tasks with complete self reliance. New House was judged Outstanding for the second time in March 2019.
