We are seeking to appoint a hardworking and friendly Teaching Assistant (SEN-linked to High Needs Funding) to support a group of pupils in the classroom setting. You will have experience in enabling high quality inclusive provision. You will be skilled in delivering a range of interventions and in working alongside parents and professionals.

This is a term time only contract and is a currently a temporary role linked to High Needs Funding and the budget/needs of the school, but with a likelihood of the contract being extended. 

Hours of work are as minimum 8.45am-12.00pm (Mon-Fri) with additional lunchtime supervision for 1 hour per day. The salary is Kent Range 3, £18,425 FTE, and based on the minimum of 21.25 hours per week, term time only, this would be pro-rated to £8,868.50p.a.

There is an option for additional hours (1.5 hours per day for the right candidate) working to 3pm.

Previous experience of working with SEN children, particularly those with ASD and ADHD is highly desirable.

We require organised professionals who have:
• Good interpersonal skills and an ability to remain calm and patient even when under pressure.
• Good standards of English and Maths.
• The ability to liaise with staff, parents and professionals offering support and challenge as appropriate.
• The ability to work using your own initiative at a highly professional level.
• A secure knowledge and understanding of safeguarding.
• A thorough understanding of differing needs and vulnerability of children.
• You will have experience in enabling high quality inclusive provision. You will be skilled in delivering a       range of interventions and in working alongside parents and professionals.
