Five Acre Wood School is seeking to appoint a Pupil Administrator to work within our friendly team.

The role is for 37 hours per week (8am-4pm, Monday to Friday), term time only plus 2 weeks to be worked during the school holidays (to be agreed with line manager).

The candidate must be highly organised, a good team player, proactive, have excellent communication and ICT skills with a high standard of literacy and clear, concise hand writing.  In addition the candidate must also have a high regard for confidentiality, be reliable, have experience with a good understanding of Microsoft office packages, good typing skills and be confident working with a wide range of professionals.

Job Description:

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Taking the minutes at annual review meetings of EHC Plans at all sites and arranging for the checking and distribution of the minutes/plans to include chasing Teachers for new provision plans and SLT for checking of minutes and provision plans.

 

  • Sending annual review paperwork to the Area Education Office within 2 weeks of the meeting.

 

  • Distribution of annual review paperwork to social workers, agencies, teachers etc.

 

  • Liaising with Teachers to advise of need to carry out Parent Consultations.

 

  • Covering reception as necessary while the Receptionist takes a lunch break and at other required times.

 

  • Keeping permission data spreadsheets up to date.

 

  • Photocopying/filing.

 

  • Collation of transition packs.

 

  • Telephoning parents to remind them of annual review meetings on the day prior to the meetings.

 

  • Assist Pupil Manager with the collection and collation of annual academic reports.

 

  • Responding to requests by social services for documents to assist with core assessments.

 

  • Management of parent/carer information on Parent Mail.

 

  • Any other pupil related work.

 

  • Other adhoc duties deemed reasonable.
