Caring, Dreaming, Thinking Bigger - There is a reason we state 'care' first. This is a truly unique opportunity for an inspirational professional to help carve out our newly formed Lightyear Federation. We place safeguarding, child protection, pastoral care and nurture at the centre of all we do. We need a superstar, the right individual who will lead our children, staff, governors and communities to further embed our nurturing ethos in all we do.

The Safeguarding & Pastoral Director (SPD) will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and be the Designated Safeguarding Lead across the Lightyear Federation.  The SPD will be responsible for the strategic development of Pastoral Care & Safeguarding across the Lightyear Federation.  They will lead the Safeguarding & Pastoral Teams and be aware of all of the children and families supported by the teams.

The Lightyear Federation prioritises the safeguarding of children above all else, we recognise that the pastoral care provided by schools is imperative for the successful development of the whole child, both personally and academically.
