Adisham CE Primary School are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking Class Teaching Assistant to support children in class. You would need to support the children with their educational, physical, emotional and social development, and play an active role alongside the teacher in shaping the learning of the class.

We are looking for teaching assistants who:

  • Recognise that our current education system needs to radically change to better prepare our young people for the 21st century
  • Are able to take advantage of the latest technology to support modern, 21st century learning
  • Want to develop their own practice to meet the needs of an evolving school system
  • Want to develop children as life-long, curious learners
  • Want to build strong relationships with children that facilitate their learning
  • Want to teach in enabling environments that promote flexibility, collaboration and independence
  • Can bring motivation, energy and excellent communication skills to the role.
  • Have a good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSE level 4/grade C)
  • Have a passion for learning and high expectations for all pupils

This role is:

  • Term time only working
  • Monday to Friday - specific hours to be agreed with the headteacher
  • Pro rata'd KR3 salary - 30 hours @ 43 paid weeks is approximately £12520 (gross)
  • Offered on a temporary contract initially to be reviewed in July 2023, with the likelihood of extension
