Required from September 2022, the Trust wishes to appoint a PE Technician.

This role will be based at the VIAT Campus at the state of the arts sports facilities shared between Invicta Grammar School, SST Maidstone and Valley Park School. 

Hours of work: 37 hours per week from 8.00am – 4.00pm, Monday – Thursday and 8.00am – 3.30pm on Friday. The position is term-time only.

The successful candidate will be required to work with teachers as part of a professional team to provide support to staff and students, to ensure the smooth operation of the PE departments.

Responsibilities:
• Set up resources/material/equipment for lessons when required, with the help of the Trust Site Team, when needed.
• Support structured and practical activities for groups or on a one-to-one basis.
• Support with extra-curricular clubs, as required.
• Order and maintain sufficient supplies of materials and equipment to enable delivery of lessons and assist others in their use.
• Safely and securely store allocated equipment to prevent unauthorized access/misuse.
• Clean and undertake maintenance of equipment as needed and as directed to ensure that it is clean and in good working order.
• Organise and deliver PE workshops for Primary schools.
• Liaise with students regarding clubs and teams.
• Promote national and international sporting events across schools in the Trust.
• Undertake record keeping, as directed.
The successful candidate may also undertake some or all the following, in this role:
• Provide clerical and administrative support as directed.

Additional Information:
• An Enhanced DBS check will be undertaken.

The Valley Invicta Academies Trust is a Multi Academy Trust, based in Maidstone, Kent. The Trust is a family of primary and secondary schools which work in partnership to provide nothing less than outstanding education for all our young people. VIAT Secondary Schools

Invicta Grammar School, Valley Park School and The Lenham School. The Lenham School became a member of the Trust this year joining Invicta Grammar School, the highest performing “non super selective” school in Kent and Valley Park School, the highest performing non-selective school in Kent.
