BCAT is a small, but highly ambitious Academy Trust consisting of 3 secondary schools in Kent, Barton Court Grammar School, The Charles Dickens School and the new free school, Barton Manor School.

Barton Court Grammar School (BCGS) is a state, selective, co-educational school with a strong reputation for its high academic standards and its caring and supportive ethos. The School is an accredited ‘Advanced Thinking School’ and is also the lead school of Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT). The Charles Dickens School (CDS), a state, non-selective, co-educational secondary school joined BCAT on 1 March 2017 and Barton Manor School (BMS), our free school, which is also a non-selective co-educational secondary school opens in September 2022 to Y7.

The Post

Required for 1 September 2022, the Trustees are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and experienced Assistant Site Manager to work with the Trust Estates Manager to provide an effective and efficient site support service at Barton Manor School, and Barton Court Grammar School, (if required), thus enhancing the standards of teaching and learning within the School(s). The Site Team is responsible for the day-to-day operational management, safety and security of the school site and all sites within the Trust (as required). The Site Team are responsible for ensuring that the School(s) are well-maintained, safe and secure sites for all users.

The Assistant Site Manager is expected to deputise for the Site Manager, in terms of his role of Site Manager at Barton Manor School, in his absence.

OUR SCHOOL

Barton Manor School, is a non-selective 11-18 school located in Canterbury, a 5 minute walk from Barton Court Grammar School. The School is in its second year of opening, with students in Y7 & Y8 only, and when full it will have a shared Sixth Form provision with Barton Court Grammar School providing a wide-range of vocational and academic courses. We have a vision and a determination to provide our community with an excellent school and we are making great strides towards this.
