Are you positive and do you have lots of energy? Are you passionate about working with children and want to work as part of a team to ensure that all children achieve their potential in a happy and safe environment?

The successful candidate will initially be working within EYFS supporting the teacher but shall also be working with small groups or individual children. We are seeking to appoint a skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant. The post is initially until 31st August 2023.

The candidate will be prepared to work across the school,  able to work with groups or individual children undertaking intervention programmes. and the role will include supervision and mentoring of children at lunchtimes. Experience of working with children with additional needs will be an advantage.

You will need to have broad experience of working with similar pupils in a mainstream setting and have the compassion to support and nurture all children.

The post is for 5 days a week 8:45 am – 3.15pm, term time only. Salary in accordance with Kent Pay Scheme Grade KR3

Information about the school

Our school is currently a two form entry Church of England primary school in a semi urban area of Tunbridge Wells and Southborough. We have an extensive site and large outdoor areas.

At present there are approximately 360 children on roll. The school serves the community of High Brooms, St John's and Southborough.

The school is an active member of the Tunbridge Wells Local Collaborative Trust, which seeks to raise standards of teaching and pupil attainment across the town.

We are a happy and lively school that places the children at the heart of everything that we do. Children benefit from many opportunities and take part in the excellent range of academic, physical and creative activities that we offer, both during and after school.

Our most recent Ofsted in July 2018 was graded good.
