7.5 hours per week, working term time only.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated lunchtime play leader.  The role involves supervising and caring for children during the lunchtime period.

We are currently in the process of reviewing our lunch arrangements to ensure that our children thrive during this key time.  The successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring that lunch times are one of the best times of day for our children.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of working with children and young people, be committed to supporting and nurturing children, be flexible and adaptable, have the ability to use their initiative and be prepared to complete training appropriate to the role.

Information about the school

South Borough Primary School in Maidstone is currently a 2 form entry school with three classes in both Year 2 and 3. It became part of the Swale Academies Trust on 1st February 2015.

At South Borough Primary School we believe every child matters and is at the heart of all we do. We aim to ensure they can read, write and calculate effectively when they leave us. Together with that we aim to instill a sense of pride, tolerance, determination and perseverance to help them in all aspects of life. Good behaviour for learning is key for children to make good progress. The school received a ‘Good’ Ofsted judgement in 2018 and we continue to provide high quality education for all our learners.

We collaborate with other Trust schools, to ensure best practice is shared. We value our parents and have an active Friends of South Borough (FOSB) who regularly meet and organise events/functions/activities for our children.

We are proud to offer wrap around care from 7:45 am to 6:00 pm every day which is also available for the children of staff, should the need arise.
