Advert

Due to a rising roll Lydd Primary School has a vacancy for a full-time Reception Class Teacher commencing September 2022.  In the first instance this is a fixed term contract, however, it could lead to a permanent position should numbers increase.

Applications are invited from ECTs or experienced teachers who are energetic, enthusiastic, innovative practitioners keen to develop their teaching and inspire our children.

You would be part of our lively and exciting EYFS team who in 2018 were awarded an outstanding judgement by Ofsted.  You would be working alongside our existing supportive and highly motivated teachers.  Our EYFS team also includes an onsite nursery provision, as well as the Reception unit which has the use of 2 classrooms and includes 2 full time teaching assistants.

This is a fabulous opportunity for a dedicated and organised person to join the school team at Lydd Primary School which is part of Our Community Multi Academy Trust. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher to join the school’s successful and supportive team. This role may be suitable for ECTs or experienced teachers who are looking for a new challenge however we encourage anyone to apply who feels they have the necessary skills and abilities to fulfil the role.

Lydd Primary School is one of ten schools within Our Community Multi Academy Trust. We are a primary school with 282 of pupils on our roll.  We are an average sized primary school with a growing roll of hard working, polite and friendly children. The school has a team of friendly and skilful teachers who deliver a broad and interesting curriculum. We recently had our first inspection since becoming an Academy and were judged to be a good school with an outstanding early year’s provision. Our teachers work hard, but as OFSTED noted we are also aware of the importance of a good work-life balance and morale is high amongst staff.

Although Lydd is Kent's most southerly village, it is well connected by road to many main towns. It is an easy commute from Ashford (where many of the staff live), Hastings, Dover, Folkestone and Hythe. Do come and meet our friendly staff and wonderful children, you are sure of a warm welcome.

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

We are equally committed to eliminating discrimination and encouraging diversity. We aim for our workforce to be representative of society and that each employee feels respected and able to give their best. We are committed to providing equality and fairness in our recruitment and employment practices and not to discriminate on any grounds. We oppose all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination.

For further information about the role, please contact Nicki Man, Headteacher, via telephone on 01797 320362, or office@lydd.kent.sch.uk
