Advert

We are excited to be able to advertise for the position of 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide support for a pupil diagnosed with ASC. The position is to support a child in Year 2, who requires 1:1 support and who has autism and communication needs. The child does not display any challenging behaviour.

We are looking for someone who can be proactive in finding different ways to build a good working relationship. The child needs support to apply himself to academic activities and requires prompts and interventions to help him with communication and following instructions.

We have high expectations for all our children and we are keen to ensure that individuals’ needs are met.

The staff have a collaborative approach and work hard to support each other and maintain a positive environment for all to enjoy in school. We are looking for someone who is experienced in managing children with additional needs, and building good relationships to enable improved access to the curriculum and progress to be made.

Your hours of work will be 16.25 hours per week, term time only. The post is fixed-term, as it is dependent upon the named pupil’s continued attendance at this school and funding.

Interested candidates are encouraged to contact the school if they would like further details regarding the post.
