Are you passionate about changing the life chances of young people? If so, we would like to hear from you.

At Wayfield we inspire our children and staff to be ‘Proud to Achieve’. Wayfield is an incredible school, and we believe we are all capable of so many amazing things. We believe that our children get the best deal, and we inspire greatness from all. It is vital that we give our children as many different experiences as possible to ensure they are well equipped to succeed in today’s rapidly changing society. Our curriculum is carefully designed with the children’s specific needs and interests in mind. As a result, our children can experience visiting many different places both locally, wider afield across the country and Europe.

We work in collaboration with our Trust, The Primary First Trust, which currently consists of ten primary schools in Medway, Kent and Bexley. This gives us a wide support network and allows our staff to grow professionally and our children to achieve excellence.

The successful candidate will work in our afterschool club to help provide a fun, safe and creative provision. It is essential that the successful candidate can build strong relationships with the children of varying ages who attend, in order to help them enjoy their time at the after-school provision, by helping to nurture a positive climate within the setting. This role will involve preparing simple nutritious meals, arranging play and learning opportunities, so we are looking for someone who will work as part of a team and show individual initiative and creativity to make our afterschool club a safe and fun place for our children.

Wayfield Primary is an inclusive school, and as such, the successful candidate will provide support for children from a range of backgrounds.

You would be joining a supportive and friendly staff team, the most amazingly polite and hardworking children and supportive parents and carers. We support our staff with their professional and career development through routine coaching meetings with the Head Teacher and access to nationally recognised CPD. Our aim will be to encourage and nurture you to develop into the very best teacher.

As an Apple Distinguished School, we are part of a network of some of the most innovative schools in the world. We are a center of leadership and educational excellence that demonstrate Apple’s vision of exemplary learning environments. We use Apple products to inspire student creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. As a recognised Apple school, we cultivate environments in which students are excited about learning, curiosity is fostered, and learning is a personal experience.
