Advert

Are you the welcoming face of our school?  We are seeking a professional, calm and well organised  receptionist to work within our busy school office, welcoming visitors, responding to the many enquiries that come to our door, whilst offering a smile and assistance.  Being able to multi task is vital whilst maintaining a cheery disposition.  You will be a good communicator and have strong ICT skills particularly in the use of MS Word and Excel. Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders including parents/carers, children, staff and external agencies and visitors, you will be able to act with confidentiality and integrity. You will often be the first point of contact in the school through answering telephone calls, emails or written correspondence and will be able to prioritise and manage these contacts in a timely manner.

This is a fast-moving environment and a can-do attitude is essential, whilst being able to turn your hand to many different and sometimes, unusual tasks!

In return, the right candidate will join a fantastic team who are committed to ensuring that every child is nurtured and given the opportunity to flourish.

Previous administration experience is desirable but not essential; it is more important to be open to training, able to think on your feet and be the professional, public face of our school.  The role is 8.30am to 2.30pm daily, term time only.

Our Vision Statement:

‘Nurtured we Flourish’

We are a warm, welcoming and inclusive school rooted in our rural community. Like the mustard seed, we grew from tiny beginnings and our branches are now spread wide – providing support and taking our values beyond the school gates. All those in our community feel safe and nurtured - able to flourish and grow academically, spiritually, emotionally and physically to achieve their full God-given potential.

Harrietsham Church of England Primary School is a friendly village school set in beautiful countryside in the heart of the community. We are expanding to 2-form entry and are nearly fully grown! We pride ourselves on the achievements of all of our pupils - we are a school where everyone works together putting children at the heart of everything we do. We welcome pupils and staff of all faiths and none and our vision and values of Love, Forgiveness and Fellowship guide our everyday actions.

Our school building (which dates from 2004 to 2021 when our new extension opened) houses classrooms, smaller learning areas, a well-stocked library and computer room, activity rooms and offices and we have extensive grounds including a nature garden and field with large scale play equipment. Outdoor learning is really important to us. We have supportive parents and an active PTFA and Governing Body. We maintain close links with the church and local community.
