An exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate with previous finance and administration experience. Ryarsh Primary School is looking for a skilled, caring and enthusiastic person to join our family as an Office Manager who has the ability to lead on the day to day business management of the school.

We are seeking to appoint a friendly, flexible, professional person to work in our school office.  The working hours will be 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday (Fridays will finish at 4:00pm), term time only  (+ five inset days) to work alongside our Administrative Assistant. 

You will need to be able to work well under pressure and use your own initiative, be well organised and have the ability to prioritise your own workload and work to deadlines.  You will be required to work both independently and as part of a team, whilst maintaining a positive attitude. As part of this role, it is also essential to maintain confidentiality at all times. 

You will need to be able to deal with a variety of people in a sensitive and diplomatic manner. You will be required to undertake Safeguarding and First Aid training.

This is a key role within the school and the ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working in a school or office environment
  • Knowledge of the FMS and SIMS systems
  • Experience of site management (including health and safety compliance)
  • An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop good relationships with pupils, parents, staff and visitors
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to use own initiative
  • A confident and professional manner
  • A good eye for detail
  • An excellent knowledge of IT systems such as Word, Excel and SIMS.
