We have an opportunity for an energetic, professional, ambitious, and highly organised Manager to deliver excellent and effective levels of balanced Leadership and Management. You will be required to manage day-to-day administration using systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Tapestry. The post holder will take full leadership of our nursery with direction from the Headteacher of Tiger Primary School.  40 hours per week, flexible between 7.30am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, 42 working weeks per year. 

Do you have proven experience of:

  • Successful nursery leadership and management
  • Encouraging quality teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Effective monitoring of children’s development; identifying gaps in achievement and planning for developmental next steps.
  • Effective implementation of the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Early Education Entitlement.
  • Encouraging effective safeguarding practice.
  • Monitoring and assessing practice to plan for ongoing staff professional development.
  • Evaluating the quality of provision to improve outcomes for children.
  • Creating setting improvement plans through engagement with staff, children, parents and carers

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of a level 3 recognised childcare qualification
  • At least two years managerial experience within an Early Years setting
  • A plethora of knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Have experience of using Microsoft Packages including Excel to an advanced level
  • Form professional relationships with staff and customers to ensure the quality of the provision
  • Create and set improvement plans through engagement with staff, children, parents and carers
