We need an SEN Admin Assistant to provide efficient and professional administrative support to our SENCO to ensure our SEN provision is outstanding.

We are looking for a highly organised and dedicated individual, who pays meticulous attention to detail, to join our team.  The role requires someone who has excellent people skills, strong written and verbal communication together with a 'can do' attitude and an active willingness to contribute to whole school improvement.  A working knowledge of the SEN code of practice and SIMS is a key requirement.  

The post will involve:

  • Inputting, updating and maintaining SEN information on SIMS - areas of need, interventions, data, reports from other professionals
  • Timely communication, in person or writing, with parents and other professionals
  • Liaison with teaching staff to gather information for meetings and other professionals
  • Supporting the creation and review of individual, personalised provision plans
  • Administration of EHCP annual reviews
  • Send termly provision and intervention letters
  • Creating reports to share attainment and achievement data termly
  • Assessing children
  • Supporting the SENCO and other colleagues to create SEN resources
  • Supporting the transition of SEN children into school and on to secondary education

This post will involve working with and in support of children across the school from Year R to Year 6. 

Candidates must have experience of SEN in a primary setting and an excellent working knowledge of SIMS.  Please state your relevant experiences on your application form.

HOURS OF WORK - 15 - 20 hours per week, 8.30-12.30. (These organisation of these hours could be negotiable for the perfect candidate as primarily this is an admin position.)  TERM TIME ONLY PLUS TEACHER TRAINING DAYS

Pay - Kent Scheme 4 pro rata.
