West Borough Primary School are looking to appoint an experienced Early Years teacher to cover Leadership and PPA time across Nursery and Year R from September. 

Do you have:

  • A passion for Early Years, both indoors and outdoors, including Forest School
  • A clear understanding of how children learn and develop, including early reading
  • An interest in the Curiosity Approach 
  • Experience of being a strong teacher in a Nursery or Year R Classroom?

The successful candidate will teach 2 days a week. This equates to a day in one Year R Class, half a day in the other Year R Class and and half a day in the Nursery Class. There is the option to be flexible about which 2 days in the week. We can offer a 1 year contract initially.

We are very proud of our wonderful school which was judged as good with outstanding features. Our most recent Ofsted inspection was in October 2022.

We have 16 classes including our maintained Nursery. A set of Core Values underpin all that we do which ensure high expectations of both learning and behaviour. They are 'Equality, Responsibility, Respect, Resilience and Challenge.' Our inclusive school is based on a large, well resourced site just outside Maidstone town centre. Our excellent facilities include a library, extensive outdoor learning areas and an ASD Satellite.

Our school has a happy and caring ethos and is is full of well motivated children, supported by a hardworking and fully committed team of staff and governors.
