St George’s is looking for a Sports Assistant to join our team this coming September.

The successful candidate should have an interest in a range of sports and ideally have qualifications to demonstrate they have learned some key skills.

We require someone for term time only to work every day from 12 – 5pm (flexibly to account for competitions/ clubs). This job will include running a lunchtime club and after-school club every day.

 

Main expectations will be-

 

  • Assisting teachers within lessons to deliver quality PE
  • Being responsible for organising competitions and attending those competitions as the school representative both arranging and supporting the pupils.
  • Being well organised with a good working knowledge of computer systems.
  • To have a keen interest in sport and up-to-date knowledge of a range of sporting rules.
  • Being able to work closely with PE lead and have strong communication skills

 

This job is subject to a full DBS check and references and completion of the in-house school courses on Safeguarding, Prevent etc.

 

This role is subject to funding and is offered on a one Academic year contract from September 1st 2022.

Renumeration is paid on Aquila pay scale b – FTE £18,680 pro rata to £10,578 for a term time contract
