It is often said that our school community is one big happy family.  We strive for the best outcomes for all our stakeholders and value each and every member.

We are looking to recruit the right person to join #TeamElham, working Thursdays and Fridays in Keystage 2.  Of course we want someone who is enthusiastic and can provide exciting opportunities for our children.  Most of all we want someone who is passionate about life and cares for those around them.

The staff and children are very welcoming and visits to Elham are encouraged.  We will be delighted to show you around and discuss the role further.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children therefore appointment to this position will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure and other safeguarding recruitment procedures.

Please visit the school website www.elhamprimary.co.uk for further information on the school and to view our Virtual Tour.

Please note applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and selected candidates will be contacted for an interview so early application is encouraged.  We reserve the right to close the advert when we are in receipt of sufficient applications and without notice.

Information about the school

Elham Church of England Primary School is a small, friendly school situated in the beautiful Elham Valley, nestled between the villages of Lyminge and Barham. We have lovely, enthusiastic, hardworking and high-achieving children who are an absolute pleasure to teach.

At present, the school has 121 children taught in 6 classes. Staff are friendly and welcoming and work as part of a close-knit, effective team...one happy family!

We have high standards and want the best for all of our children.

While results are significant, we pride ourselves on providing our children with exciting experiences- a curriculum of core knowledge, skills and understanding together with confidence in their mind, body and soul with well-being at its centre is what we are about. We want our children to be well-rounded individuals, strong in mind with a lifelong love of learning.

We love to be outside at Elham Primary- our Forest School provides all the children with opportunities to learn with nature at its core. We also love sports and enjoy trying new things!

We are very proud of our school!
