HR Assistant 

Salary:  NJC Grade D2 points 4 – 11 £18,934 - £21,749 (this is the full time equivalent salary and will be pro rata based on agreed hours and weeks) 

Fixed term contract until 31 December 2022 

Hours: Between 3-5 days per week 

Weeks per year: Between 38 and 52 weeks per year 

Hours and weeks are negotiable 

Location: Walderslade Girls’ School, Chatham

We are looking for an exceptional HR Administrator to join the HR team at the Skills for Life Trust on a fixed term contract. 

We are a vibrant, enthusiastic and committed team who are on journey of improvement in relation to the streamlining and automation of processes. We need you to support us in this journey, to bring forward ideas and be committed to seeing changes through to implementation. 

This is a fixed term contract until 31 December 2022, for up to 37 hours per week. Please ensure you state your preferred work pattern on your application as this is negotiable for the right candidate. 

You will be an experienced administrator, with excellent IT skills and the ability to use various Microsoft packages to a high standard, with speed and accuracy.

You will be responsible for a number of HR processes such as undertaking relevant pre-employment checks including DBS and references, arranging for contracts of employment to be issued to staff and filed electronically, and uploading job vacancies to relevant job boards in a timely manner. 

You will also play a key part in helping us to implement our new HR system, this will require determination, project management skills, and excellent IT skills to work out tricky system errors and find solutions to these in a timely manner.
